I have just stumbled upon her preaching late at night on a small cable channel. I understand she replaced her husband Gene Scott, who I used to find refreshingly different as a tele-evangelist years ago, after he died. What do people think of Mrs. Scott?

I think she is one of the most refreshing biblical teachers out there. Her comprehension and speaking 17 languages really helps get to the real meaning of the text. Not the usual bland nothingness that the usual tv preaching. Like a contemporary Mary Magdaline, she seems to understand Christ better than most.

I don't really know anything about Melissa Scott, but I know a fair bit about Gene Scott. If she is following his teachings (which I expect) I would not recommend her at all. I understand how people might find Gene Scott "refreshingly different" as you say. He was that ... in a bad way. Here's a bit of information about him:

Just another nut trying to push myths and fairy tales on everyone. I watch her just for comic relief.
