Jibba...by your use of words I suspect you do know something about religion and the Bible, lol. Few people use the word "covenant" other than believers or those who once have.

The New Covenant has to do with the laws, in particular the laws regarding sacrifice (as blood sacrifice is no longer needed after Jesus died for us). It does not toss out everything in the Old Testament. You cannot even say its tossing out the bad and keeping the good because its not, its tossing out the unneeded (to the serious Jewish people I apologize, I do not mean to offend, I am speaking as a Christian only).

Jesus said... (I am going to use the Good News Bible and yes I know its a paraphrase, but I checked and it says the same as all the other Bibles on this one and its easier for those less familiar with scripture to understand).

GNB - Mat 22:36 "Teacher," he asked, "which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
Mat 22:37 Jesus answered, " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
Mat 22:38 This is the greatest and the most important commandment.
Mat 22:39 The second most important commandment is like it: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'
Mat 22:40 The whole Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets depend on these two commandments."

You are so not even close. The Old Testament is still taught today. If you actually took time to read and understand the ENTIRE Bible, you would see what I am talking about.
In the book of Deut., God gives us a choice of a blessing or a curse. He later suggests we accept His blessing. The decision is up to you. If you want to continue on this path you are on, okay. If you want to find a peace that passes all understanding and enjoy blessings to numerous to imagine, then give up this facade of being a "tough guy" and give your life over to Jesus. Don't challenge His authority and power my friend. The Psalms and Proverbs warn of the fate of those that do such a thing.
And by the way, even in the pocket size New Testament it includes Psalms and Proverbs.

LOL, its not only the old testament but its also in the new testament. God is also jealous, he will not Slack when it comes to reproof.
but when it comes to Jesus christ, it was prophecied that he "WOULD" be mocked, and scourged and crucified. its what happened after they destroyed his temple. Jesus truly said destroy this temple, (his body), and he said he would rebuild it in 3 days. hence on the third day he was resurrected.
but what followed within 70 years was a three fold "vengeance" remember jesus said: Vengeance is mine I will repay.
bondage, captivity, war and famine and death were all the judgments that fell upon Israel and upon the Blood of the ones, the children of those that swore unto pilate, death unto their children. God will not be mocked, God is not slack but plans the downfall of the wicked in their high places and in their false religions.

I don't know if He is offended by insects like us in His presence but I know a story about a evil Chinese emperor who mocked and defied and called God terrible names daily and did terrible things only to mock God even more, then one day it got cloudy and the evil emperor was hit by lightning and died a terrible death.
