Age 5 by a certain date for Kindergarten. No tests in CT. are required.

5 or 6 years old but he has to pass some tests in order to start kindergarten.

I'm pretty sure if they are four when you register them for kindergarten, but will be five by the end of the year (December) then you are okay. I'm not sure about preschool though. 3-4?

5 yrs old & my daughter DIDN'T have to take any tests
