If Jr goes, then Bud will probably follow.
He doesn't want to get out of driving and just own his own team.

See the link below for his q & a session at Daytona this week. it is from fox sports.

The second link is from yahoo sports and was a little more info into what may happen.

Looks like his Daddy's influence is toughening him up a bit....

If JR leaves DEI there is no way that race team will survive. JR (as much as I dislike him) is the face of that company, and will not have a problem getting a ride from someone else. I cannot believe this is even an issue! COME ON!!!

I think all this is doing is jacking with JR's head and hes going to be sucking until they can get this figured out between the two of them (his step mom and JR). They really need to come to an agreement before the season starts... I am willing to bet if he goes somewhere else to race, DEI and Bud will both be without a ton of money since Bud wants to stay with DEI...

As far as who they sign, it does not matter... A Robby Gordon type of driver would probably end up in their company, but like I said before, there is no way they can last without DEI because of their current status of pretty much a one man race team.

I really don't know if Jr. will leave DEI, however if he does I think he will either race for Richard Childress like his father or start his own team. I do think Budweiser would go with him wherever he goes simply because having Dale Jr. associated with your product is almost a sure way of having people buy it. If Jr. does leave DEI I think it will definitely have an impact on them. Right now he is the only driver they have that actually does well in the races. Theresa should really think twice before she lets him go.

There is no way Budweiser will put their name with another driver. They know Jr. is an enormous money maker for them.

If you have been reading any of the interviews he has been giving, Jr's heart is, naturally, at DEI. However, things have changed so much since his father's passing that it barely seems like his father's company anymore. The tensions run high at DEI constantly.

If he leaves, I have wondered whether or not Childress would sign him. I wonder simply because of the relationship between Richard and Theresa. She is the widow of his best friend. I can't say for sure one way or another what I think childress would do.

I'm a huge Jr fan...........I hate to think of whats happening between him and DEI, Theresa is tearing the company apart. If by any chance he should happen to leave, I would like to see him drive for RCR. Although I don't see him going anywhere for the simple fact theres to much riding on the company to let him go, if he leaves, the money follows. Theresa is a money hungry gold digger, shes not gonna let that happen. Things havent been right since she took over. The company should of been put into the possession of a true racing personnel, who knew what to do, not someone that was there just for the sake of being there. But where Jr goes..........I to will follow!!!

Bud would be silly for not following if Jr leaves. DEI may have just shot themselves in the foot on this one. Jr has JR Motorsports to fall back on. It'd be interesting to see if ...

Jr comes rolling out of RCR's stable, driving the big black #8 (or #3) with Budweiser written all over it.

If he isn't at DEI next year he'll be driving for Childress most likely. Hopefully RCR could somehow get the number 8?!?! He won't drive a 3 car, Richard said he would never race a car with the number 3 on it again.

I say he goes to ray everham. Budweiser will either buy out their contract with dei or be stuck with whoever they hire to drive the bud car. I bet budweiser buys them out.

I do not think he will sign with RCR or EVER drive the number 3, he wants to step out of that shadow.

I know that Budweiser will go with Jr if he leaves and I hope he signs with Joe Gibbs Racing instead of RCR. Budweiser would be crazy not to stay with Dale Jr.

I think if Junior leaves DEI, which is probably going to happen because he is pretty set on getting part share of DEI and thats more than likely not happening, i think he will have opportunities in Toyota. When he goes to Toyota, i DO NOT think bud will follow because they dont want to be associated with a Japanese Car maker.
