music makes you happy.....crank it up

2007-01-11 04:59:24 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

I am 38 years old and have "big speakers" and a fair amount of amplifier wattage in my vehicle. I don't roll down the windows and play it for the neighborhood. I don't crank the subwoofer output up so much that you cannot hear the mid and high tones.

I am an audiophile and the peaks and dynamics of good music (subjective of course) require moving a good amount of air. There is also a good amount of road noise that needs to be overcome to hear details in music while driving. I know the type you are speaking of.. young guys that feel the need to let you know they spent thousands of dollars on volume. I used to be one of them, many moons ago. I have grown up and my music enjoyment is now for me with respect for others who may not share my musical taste. We were all young and I'm sure felt the need to let the opposite sex we were there. Everyone does it differently.

Just wanted to give you a perspective from both sides.

Those who prefer to broadcast it to the public, that may be a compensation for attention, not d**k size. Or it may be for the quality of sound. I have a nice 12" in my truck, it bumps inside, you don't hear it outside, and I prefer it that way. Good sound quality is what's aimed for for most people.

To ask that question is a little out there, but whatever. Most men with small willies usually use bigger, and more expensive things to broadcast attention. Others just rack up expenses on internet porn.

Are you serious about this question? This is possibly the most idiotic thing I have ever heard... I have had loud speakers in my car, but in no way did I do it to compensate for anything. Music is a passion for me, and honestly, I dont have it loud so other people can hear it, I listen to what I listen to, for me.
