I guess what eveyone is saying.. That a new dictator will rise to power and terrorist would re occupy the lands they lost. Then we will be back at square one.
I guess it is a try it and see thing... I say we leave with these words of advice. "If you let terrorist back we will nuke" that simply right?

Well the Terrorist would start to take over and then We would have to Re send troops back costing us billions more.
Even though I would love to see our troops back home.
Now that we are this far into this Huge mess, We truly do need to stay there and finish what we have started. As I stated I want our troops home ASAP but Now that we have gone this far We really cant back out now. And Mr Bush New this right from the beginning. Isn't it funny how a Person knows that if they cause something such as a War that its almost a 100 percent guarantee they would be reelected again. Why ? because Americans are afraid that the New president wouldn't be able to take over from that point on.

61% of Americans don't oppose the war. 61% of Americans POLLED answered a question that was later construed to make it appear as if they were and then they were pasted up as representing the rest of us.
(Judging from this web site alone, strong supporters of the war are at least half.)
To answer your question, the United States of America would be viewed by the rest of the world as unwilling to fight terror on a global scale, and terrorist organizations would feel free to advance their cause.
There are a lot of people who don't understand the scope of danger this situation represents. One third world nation after another would come under terrorist threat and we'd have a far bigger mess than we have now. Thank God and America (and Ethiopia) we were able to stop them in Somalia and lend a hand in the Philippines and other places while we were in Iraq.

This is the ten million dollar question. It's probably not going to be good. We have a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation over there, thanks to the catastrophic incompetence and idiotism of the neo-cons and Bush.
But, we're knee deep in it, aren't we? Stepped in it real good. Powell said, "You break it, you own it." Pottery Barn rule.
I have read a synopsis that I think is very credible, written by a guy named Thomas Friedman. I don't have the link.
He says the strong gravitational pull of Iraq is to splinter into three distinct states based on religioius affiliation / ethnicity: Kurds in the north, Sunnis in the West, and Shiite in the East.
The Kurdish state will have terrible trouble with Turkey, and needs us to keep Turkey in line for them.
The Sunni State will immediately and perpetually be at war with the Shiite state and Iran.
The Shiite state will be absolutely under the control of Iran. One of the great ironies of the war is that we have strengthened Iran tremendously, in many ways. This is one of the "Axis of Evil" countries. They are not our friend.
Even if we stay, I don't think we can prevent this outcome. The argument to stay is that we can keep the violence in check while this three state solution gets worked out.
But, there are going to be many more American lives lost. This is going to take a long time.
The argument for leaving is that this chaos is inevitable, and we can't prevent it from happening. What's done is done, and we have to let terrible nature take its course.

Iran would take Iraq then you would have these fanatics on border with Saudi, that government might be next, for sure they would be within striking distance of Israel, they would eventually attack Israel with help of Syria and Palestine, if they start driving Israel back into the ocean, then Israel will go nuclear, so you would have nuclear war in the middle east, this would topple the world markets and set earth back 200 years. this is what Iran wants.

in Iraq? civil war that leaves countless dead, Iran invades from east, Israel claiming national security from the west... ends up piting Iran vs Israel and we all have to get involved again, except this time the stakes are much higher and many more will die... all because we lacked the backbone to just finish the mess we started (hated the war by the way, but hate the idea of leaving now even more). Beyond that... emboldened Muslim extremists... "Look at how they destroy our lands and leave us to kill eachother" ... this leads to more terrorism. We cannot pull out (I'm American... one of the few with the intelligence to hate the idea of war but to understand we can't just run)

You know, who really cares what happens to the middle-east? Americans need to be concerned with our governments raping of the constitution! I know, fight them there or here...well guess what..they are here, coming right over our southern border..if our government truly cared about our safety our borders would have been closed within hours of 9/11! In my opinion, all of iraq is not worth one American life!

considering it's still a very hostile envirornment one of the militia's or terroristic forces will rise gain the stength of the nation, kill all those who oppose and attack the US in some compacity. Not to mention as we pull out unless it's all done at once as our capacity over there decreases the deaths will increase because of being way out manned

Muslims terrorist will get the green light saying if Americans bleed enough they will run away.
So lets do another 9/11 or bigger attack they run away after a few bombs being drop.
Is that a good thing?
