Everybody's looking in vain for their messiah to come rescue them.

I don't think you're quite reading these right. If you notice the heading of D&C 130 it clarifies that it's speaking of the savior visiting individuals (just visits not THE 2nd comming) - We should all be trying to prepare ourselves to be worthy of such individual visits, but when THE second comming comes - we'll all know, so will everybody else. There will be no searching required.

As far as it saying the savior is a man like us, that never meant He's just human, we believe he is a divine part of the Godhead with a glorified and resurrected body - so It's in reference to how he appears, he would look like a human (but much more glorious) as opposed to some great spirit without any tangible form.

Well that's why I'm not looking for Jesus now, I hope someday I could be worthy of a personal visit, but when He really comes back for THE 2nd comming, I won't have to look because I'll already know.

Thanks

IF Joseph lived to be 85 years old he WOULD have. This can be interpreted 2 ways. Either he'll come within 85 years OR in the event that he lives 85 years THEN the son of man will come (which he didn't).

The second is the way most interpret this passage, especially within the context of the scripture.

Your question is ambiguous at best. Continue to read the scriptures prayerfully and your questions will reduce in number.

D&C 130, verse 15 is most clear if you read it again. It says, "Joseph, my son, IF thou livest until thou art eighty-five years old, thou shalt see the face of the Son of Man; . . . "

The Lord gave no timetable to Joseph Smith for His return, regardless if he lived to 85 years of age.

Meanwhile, I encourage you to continue reading and perhaps concentrate on improving your English writing skills. Intelligence in all matters are significant.

"Why are Mormons not looking for a Prophetic figure that possessed a Christ (Son of man)-like spirit?"

We are.
