One more silly question.... so does that means that... if the medicine is more than a weeks use by HIV patient.. the risk will be extremely low?

Depends. If its alcohol based- which most liquid medications are- then no. Alcohol and bleach will kill the virus, thats why those chemicals are used to clean up fluid spills. If somehow, the blood was on the outside of a bottle, and you used it on an open wound, within a few minutes of the infected blood being put there, then i guess it is theoretically possible, but VERY unlikely. My aunt is a nurse, and in the 70s, she got jabbed two seperate times by a fresh HIV infected needle, and didn't get infected. The chances are so low its barely worth thinking about.

No.

The virus dies within minutes of being exposed. It has to infect human cells. There are no human cells in medicines or the first-aid box.

Don't worry.

Hope this helps.

It is doubtful.

Besides all the reasons you have given and received. the virus has to enter an open wound or the blood stream.

Wow that is scary I would go straight to the Doctor and ask him, what risk there is.
