we agree not to lie to each other (great). Then she says that I'm the best she ever had and wanted my opinion of her. So not wanting to lie, I told her she was right up there around 3rd or 4th best....Now she's pissed.

What the heck do women want?

Eeek...
We do want the truth
But sometimes honesty can hurt.
So you should have slightly lied to protect her feelings.
good luck to you..

It is not with women alone. It is same with every one. The moment one agrees not to lie, one starts to lie. This is the rule of life : whenever you agree not to lie, you must lie at the very next instant. That is expected from a gentleman. That is true gentleman-like. You cannot be polite/loving/big-hearted etc. etc. without being a liar. Be truthful, and you will immediately be branded as harsh, impolite, insensitive etc. So brother, don't make this mistake again in future.

Ahh...the beginning of the end. My ex husband was exactly like that. He'd ask for the truth, but get pissed when I'd tell him (IE "am I the biggest you've ever had?").

She's a control freak. Don't expect it to change. She wants everything to be HER way.

Make a rule: no questions about your past partners. It'll piss her off, and possibly make or break your relationship, but you have to stay away from that crap unless you want to fight all the time.

Finally, tell her to get over it. SHE asked for the truth and you gave it to her. Don't walk on eggshells. If she doesn't like it then she can find someone else to be a doormat for her.

Good luck!

sorry, but thats not women want to hear, you should compliment her make her feel special, saying shes 3rd or 4th will garuntee she'll feel more self concious and sadly all women are self concious, white lies don't hurt but i admire your honesty. heres a little clue bout women for you,

If you did something wrong or even if you didn't, apologize.

You don't have PMS; don't act like you know what it's like

If you did something wrong or even if you didn't, apologize.

Be spontaneous; dinner and a movie won't always cut it.

We are self-conscious by nature; we can't help it.

Fashion police do exist.

Hugs and kisses must be given at all times

We don't shave our legs everyday so get over it.

It is not cool to shoot snot rockets.

If you're in love with her... Tell her

Kiss her in the rain. theres nothing sexier

Look her in the eyes and smile.

Recognise the small things, they usually mean the most

Tell her she is beautiful, not hot, fine or sexy

Most importantly: we are always right; so don't forget it.

okay check this out. when i was single i learned up on the oddities of you men, so im not afraid to give you some ensight on us women. When we say we don't want lies in our relationships, its more for do i look fat? do you think shes pretty, am i a good cook, do you like when i do that thing in the sack, not was i the best you ever had. we want to know that even if that other woman is pretty we are still numero uno in your book. by telling her she was up there in the 3-4 area you made her feel like if any of the others higher than her came along youd leave her. make her feel wanted. tell her shes beautiful, she makes you smile, shes the only one for you, and if shes not than don't lead her on.

IMAO, every time I've been in this matter of comparing people in their bed performances, I've heard that same old stuff. I tend to associate compliments coming from women as an early sign they mean to dump you without hurting you too badly. Hasn't got anything to do with lying. It appears to be a kind of code women use, a genetic trait. They want you to act accordingly, because it's not lying.

Now, I flee as far as I can first thing when that crap begins being said.

Don't fret, we can't figure out guys either. We tell them to 'tell me the truth' but we really don't want it. And then you guys 'tell the truth' and really wish you had lied. :::scratches head:::
Then when you lie, we never trust you again! Now does that make any sense? I didn't think so. Its a part of the male/female ritual of bonding.

Advice? Always tell the girl you're with that she is #1!!! lol personally, if she had been the ONLY one, she WOULD have been #1 !!!

Women want you to be honest, but they don't want you to make them feel bad. If I were here, I'd have probably been pissed too. If it's something that will make her mad if you tell the truth, then it's probably best to lie about it. Or just be careful of how you word what you say. Don't tell her she's 3rd or 4th. Tell her that's she's amazing. Don't put her down.

The unending quandary... welcome to the battle of the sexes.
You must never answer when she asks if her butt looks too big in the jeans she is wearing.
They do NOT want the truth!
Looking at the answers of women here, notice that one even says they don't want the truth if it might be hurtful. But others say they want to know if you step out on them. Typical female contradiction!
YOU will have to make the decision on what, if and when to tell. Don't listen to what they say, they do NOT know what they want. They just want it real badly! ;-)

she wants 2 b the best u ever had. when u told her she wasnt the best it made her insecure. if u luv her then even if shes not u hav 2 tell her shes the best at everything she does. no relationship can survive without little white lies here and there. and NEVER tell her that she does look fat in those pants, that is for her best friend to do

She didn't want the "honest-truth", she only wanted "beautiful-truth." In other words, she didn't want the "ugly-truth" (concerning your opinion of herself).
Whether it's a male or a female, the ugly-truth (negative truth) can be a hard pill to swallow, especially when it's about our own selves.
What women want are>> beautiful-compliments about themselves.
I sincerely hope this helped you to understand better.
