I am with you anniebell! 100%! My hands and sanity have suffered enough. I am so glad that I am not the total idiot I thought I was at not being able to use the damn things! And why, when you get a new one, or try to use one at someone elses house do you look like you have no control over your arms? And another thing, why when you buy tweezers, do they never have the one's you just lost, so you have to get used to using another pair, cue months of pinching your eyebrows, and then, just as you get used to them, they vanish! So off you toddle to the same chemists, and do they have the one's you just lost? NO! So the viscious circle starts again.

Yes I have to agree with you, you either seem to end up cutting yourself, or you can't get the thing to stay attached to the tin. So you end up with little cuts all around the tin. I agree that ALL tins need to have ring pulls, as it would make everyone's life a hell of a lot easier

I think it's you (not just you, but definitely you).
I've been opening tins for 32 years now, using a variety of tin-openers and with the exception of the odd one which was older than me I've never had a problem opening a tin.

New ones always work, don't they? I buy cheap tin openers, they don't last long, but don't cost much and they are recyclable. It means you always have a shiny new one and you are doing your little bit for the economy.
Hope your caps lock is repaired soon.

It is you. You really should have your mummy or another responsible person open thase nasty tins for you to protect your soft pink hands. Better still slow down and take your time when handling potentially dangerous activities.
