Islam as a religion started in the sixth century BC, in the desert city of Makkah, now in Saudi Arabia. Muhammad(pbuh), son of Abdullah, of the Quraysh tribe, descendants of Ismael, son of Abraham. At the age of 40, Muhammad(pbuh) received his first revelation in a cave in Mount Hira. In 23 years, the complete Qur'an was revealed and the religion of Islam was established firmly in Makkah and Madinah.

Islam calls people to the worship of the One True God (Allah). A Muslim's fundamental beliefs are belief in Allah, his Messengers, Books(Psalms, Old Testament, New Testament, Qur'an), Angels, and the Day of Judgement. The Pillars of Islam are Iman(monotheistic belief in One God), Salaah(prayer, 5 times a day), Zakat(giving in charity), Sawm(fasting in the month of Ramadhan), and Hajj(once in a lifetime if affordable).

Islamic knowledge comes from two sources: The Qur'an, which is the indisputable word of Allah, and the Hadith, which are a collection of sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and are open to criticism.

Their religion started with a guy called Ishmael. He was a kid, born out of wedlock, of a slave girl - Hajra. They were thrown out of the house because Hajra used to fight a lot with Sarah. Then this guy grew up in a twisted warped state of mind and wanted to finish the entire clan of Abraham. He created a religion that is now called Islam. To be a member you need to be able to kill in cold blood, blow up people and yourself, spread hate and rest assured that you will get a harem of virgins in the after life if you go and kill the Infidels (meaning non-Muslims)

I wonder what an institution will ask for its students to write an introduction on the Muslim religion called Islam, since Islam is unable to introduce itself as a religion of love and peace?

U can start with that Muslim believe in the oneness of God (Allah), and that Muhammad (PBUH) being the last messenger.

Muslims pray five times a day toward Makkah(Mecca) to cleanse themselves of the sins they and to remember that they are God's servants, and that they fast during the month of Ramadan to gain a control over their bodily urges, and to experience the hardship the poor face every single day. Muslim Give in charity to help the community and go to Makkah once in a lifetime to complete their obligation to God, and purifies their soul. and remembering death. and the day of judgment that's wat the word Hajj means in Arabic, gathering, which refers to the gathering on the day of judgment.

There is a religion that worships Satan. They behead innocent people and they spend all day long praying for inspiration on how to spread terrorism . I think that pretty much sums up your introduction on the Muslim religion. Think about it how many Muslims have you heard denounce the terrorist parts of their religious members - NONE - they therefore are all terrorist.
