No there are not. It's given by complete inspiration of The Holy Spirit. It's a free gift, ask The Lord for it and believe He wants to give it to you, since He promised it to you. You should be going to a church that speaks in tongues regularly and surround yourself with them. To receive this gift is such a major breakthrough for your spiritual life that you will experience many, many great things to come in your life.
You will however get many drive-by insults for this question and I'll get many thums down because many people don't understand and many people just refuse to believe at all. But they persecuted Jesus first and so that makes it okay. Thanks for the great question. PEACE!!!

No, if you do that it is more than likely sac-religious. Speaking in tongues is evidence of the Holy Spirit. You want to speak in tongues? Pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Then and only then will you know what to say because it will just come out-to put it simply.

Praying in tongues are given by the inspiration of the holy spirit. There are people that claims they speak in tongues by being taught different languages and are only copy cat not the original , cause the original speaking in tongues comes from God holy spirit.

Its not learned, its a gift and as a Christian you pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Usually if others are praying with you and you praise God with your your whole heart you can receive it. It took a long time for me, but I expected the Holy Spirit to just take over and move my tongue for me, and it doesn't work that way. Have you gone to a Pentecostal Holiness church, oe Assembly of God church to seek the baptism?

I believe it is called speaking in tongues it is a so called uncontrollable reaction due to being filled with the Holy Spirit causes you to gyrate and spew nonsense words similiar to a seizure In my humble opinion. No lyrics just comes naturally to fanatics

The Holy SPirit gives you this, don't try to make anything up. Because when the spirit comes and you're not under it, you'll sound like an illegal alien talking. Don't play witht he gifts of God. Let Him give it to you.

No. I have seen and hear people being taught how to speak in toungues which I think is very unBiblical. For if we are taught or do learn how to speak in toungues then it is not the spirit working through us but ourselves. Genuine toungues are never learned but come by the Holy Spirit.

if you need to memorize it then its not in tongues
speaking in tongues means the Holy Spirit allows you to speak in a language you dont already know

Just start yapping a load of meaningless gibberish and that'll be enough to convince them that the holy spirit is within you-they don't need much convincing where "miraculous" events are concerned.
