Actually, the question you cited did not prompt any debate over biblical interpretation. It was disagreement over doctrine. Very few, if any, verses were considered (or reconsidered).
Atheists can disagree on a host of matters. In philosophy, some are realists (Bertrand Russell) while others are anti-realists (David Hume). Some believe science yields truths about the world (Richard Dawkins) while others merely say it is socially constructed and says nothing about truth (Richard Rorty). Some believe in objective morals (Ayn Rand), other believe there can be no such thing (A.J. Ayer).

Of course, atheists can have heated discussions about the origin of the universe, the origin of life, the existence of alien life forms and whatever more. The difference to a religious discussion might be that no atheist would claim to be in possession of the one and only truth. For example, I assume that there is NO alien life in space, but I am prepared to listen to people who think otherwise, and even to let them convince me.

The only thing I can think of would be psychic phenomena. There are some like me who believe in some things, and there are others who refute the subject entirely.
I don't think it's a particularly hot area though. And it's not just atheists who don't believe in it. Plenty of people from all walks of life do not.

There are extreme atheists whose attitude verges on nihilism and there are those who don't believe in a personal God but might be open to the idea of spirituality etc. but they seldom come into conflict.

I don't really find myself arguing with other atheists because usually their opinion is based upon logic and information that they can readily share with me. Even if I don't agree with their final outcome, I can at least appreciate how they arrived at it.

There are lots of things we disagree about. None of them involve religion though. Politics, sports, women, etc.
