I met this girl at the gym at the jogging tracks yesterday. We flirted a month ago. We exchanged a short conversation then continued on with our jogging. As I was jogging pass her.... to say hello again... she looked at me, shyly smiled back, and then inverted her gaze downwards while still holding that smile.
Ladies: When you invert your gaze downwards... is that signaling that you like the person? How about downwards then away? Or how about blinking a lot? I heard that blinking alot signals shyness?

it depends on your personality ... I tend to look away when I like someone but that's just because I get kind of nervous. And I am a little shy when it comes to guys. She might be a shy type. Blinking a lot, I guess so too because I don't like to hold gazes with a guy I have a crush on because I get really nervous. Blinking kind of interrupts those gazes. My boyfriend now, I liked him for months before he finally made the first move because I would rather die than make the first move but he figured it out (good job!). My advice is if she's like me, shy, then she won't make any moves but it does seem like she likes you and would accept your advances

I think you're right. I think she is interested, but she is shy. She makes eye contact for a second and then looks down...but all the time she is smiling. She probably get nervous when you make eye contact. Not sure about the blinking thing. I myself am VERY shy, but I don't blink a lot. Go for it!! She is probably dying for you to ask her out, since she's too shy to ask you out. Good luck!!

A lot of that depends on the girl... I'd say that she probably likes you. Normally, if a girl is shy around you, she does. And if she looks at you and then turns away but keeps smiling, that's a good sign.

She likes you and wants to talk to you but is a very shy person. Be the one to start a conversation maybe she will open up and show you the real her.
