if someone wronged you, and you sent them positive energy, would you consider that manipulation because they didn't ask for anything from you? my previous question was about how i could forgive some people that have hurt me, and i came up with the idea to send good energy their way. i know what they give out, they will get back, but i feel like it'd be theraputic for me because i really do wish the best for them. i spent last saturday night laying under the stars and got a whole new perspective on things. i forgot what could happen if you just listened. the reason i ask is that even though i don't consider myself wiccan, i do believe in universal law and want to make sure it'd be alright.

united-proselytizing will not work and frankly it's very rude. i respect whatever religious choices you make, frankly i could care less, but i'd appreciate it if you'd respect mine. condemning people is not the way to get them to convert. have a nice day.

If you're not sending them positive energy in order to have them "change", it's not manipulative. It's an affirmation of forgiveness.

It's good for YOUR well-being and spiritual growth to forgive, and real forgiveness means not holding bad feelings about the person.

Bright Blessings!

Hmmm. That's a good question.

I can see why you'd do that, and on the surface it seems like a good idea. You're trying to help someone and you don't want to harm them, but you want to do something to make yourself feel better. OTOH, think of situations where positive energy has been unwanted; for example, sending healing energy to a terminally ill person who really just wants to die rather than having hir life prolonged.

I think, were I in a similar situation, I'd probably have just let the person be. I figure that if s/he's going to continue to be a jerk about things, s/he'll eventually get hirself enough rope to hang hirself. OTOH, people do change and grow, and if s/he takes the time and effort to become a better person, then positive energy at that point would help. I've found, though, that if a person is entrenched in their own negativity, the positive energy sent isn't really going to do any good since it won't "register" with the person. People have to *want* to change; it can't be *forced* on them.

If you feel the need to create balance, do something for someone who's actively working for positive change. Volunteer some time or donate money to the nonprofit of your choice, burn a candle for whatever cause the organization is working for. Or, alternately, soend some time improving your own situation and yourself. That makes it less likely that you're just throwing your efforts and energy away.

Just IMO, though.

No. It's alright. I'm not Wiccan and I follow a different law in which no wrong can go unaddressed for the safety of those who come after us- the potential next victim, you know. We always send people energy all the time anyway in one form or another. If you're stewing about it, you're sending them negative energy even if you don't consciously do a spell. But why do you want to waste your energy on them? Better, I think to call your energy back and keep it for better purposes.

I would personally ground and examine my aura for their energy and destroy it, and then call back the energy I've already sent them them (from stewing and being angry, etc.), cleanse it and reintegrate it into my aura- repeat this process whenever thoughts of them crop up, and then move on. Works well for getting over break ups too.

I don't think there is ever anything wrong with sending people positive energy, especially if you are doing it outside religious constraints. If you have doubts, you can always ask whatever divine power you believe in to help send the positive energy if the people you're sending it to are ready and willing to accept it. The you can ask that if they aren't it be redirected to wherever it can do the most good. Its a good way around sticky situations.

I think that's a very creative way to deal with a problemtic person. I certainly don't think it causes harm - you're basically sending them a great big psychic smile and a hug. If they want to reject that energy, then they always have that choice. And if they're only being nasty because they're having a tough life at the moment, well, in that case everyone wins!

I think what you want to do is correct for your own healing. Whenever you send out energy to someone I try to add a mental note that this energy is theirs "if they want it" and if not you offer it to the universe for good use, with this added I don't see how you could be invading upon them without their wishes. And I do hope the energy does return to you 3 fold!
