All the icons in the Image Editing Toolbar are not highlighted when I open Paperport 10 to edit a PDF file. But it will for all other file types.

PDF files were specifically made so they could not be edited.

Paperport 10 is not a .pdf editing program.
You would need Pitstop to do serious .pdf editing.
Or the latest version of Acrobat lets you make some simple edits, but you need to buy the program.
