Its true in some cases, but there are some people out there that just dont care about themselves. If they dont try to change then that makes them a loser.

Actually that statement isn't true because I go to a small school which makes it easier to see how people are like and to know who everyone is. I've met some people at my school who choose to be a loser not because they are, but because they want too. Some people just don't want to deal with the drama of trying to fit in or caring what other people think. I think the so call losers enjoy life more than those who stress over what more life can be. Think about it the people who are title losers they have their own group of friends, they don't care what people think about them, and they don't have to worry about trying to fit in. Then you have those people who worry what other people think about them, how they look, and how many friends they have. Then when they try to push themselves upto the top the end up losing good friends they already had for friends they don't even need.

I would say "No one is a loser because they try to be, people are losers that don't try at all" I mean, if you are trying your best to do what you have to do or want to do, then it doesn't matter if you succeed or not...you are trying! A loser is someone who doesn't even try, they just expect for everything to be handed to them, and then they sit around feeling sorry for themselves because nothing ever happens for them. In this life you have to make things happen for yourself!

I disagree - I know several people who are losers because they failed to try not to be. If you fail to try to become a winner, are you not in effect then trying to be a loser?

I have no time for people's "woe is me" crap -- put on your big boy/girl undies and move on. There is no excuse for letting yourself become a loser.

I agree with Alice! Some people are losers, they probably don't do it on purpose, but they do nothing to change. My ex-husband is a loser!! He threw away a family, because he couldn't, or didn't want to CHANGE!!
