Tell all this to the court and they will decide. That's all you can do.
Regarding the job, it depends on your conditions of employment.

Yes, if their contract stipulates that they have a full, clean driving licence then they could be in breach of contract and lose their job (this is especially true of driving instructors).
The penalty can be anywhere from points, to a fine, to inprisonment depending on the seriousness of the incident, or how little due care the driver was taking.

Probably not the first offense. I was in a business that employed 600 drivers and the points they accumulated had a effect on the insurance we paid to cover them and they were spoken to. They type of offence was of great interest to the HR people. Losing points for "dangerous driving or running a red light for example were look on harsher than a speeding ticket for a couple of mph over the limit.

Worse than any punishment a court can give you is this. You are driving and not paying a attention, you hit a pregnant woman walking her two girls across the road while on a pedestrian crossing. You kill a whole family, how can you live with yourself after that? Pay attention or hand your licence in.

Yes, if you need a license (I need mine for work) and you get a ticket for any moving violation, you could lose your job. However, I think most places are lenient and would give you a warning for the first offense, since one ticket won't cause you to lose your license.

It depends... using a mobile is 3 points and a small fine. causing death by dangerous driving is a long stretch inside it all depends on the circumstances

In the US they could be terminated. However I doubt that that would occur on a first ticket. More likely the employee would be warned.
