The "beast" can refer to many things. It can be the anti christ. It can be satan. It can be just an evil man who thinks they are doing good when in all actuality they are doing the complete opposite, but comprehend not. Not due to ignorance, buit they simply don't know. I myself believe in many things and the beast can be kalki of the hindu religion. Destroyer of filtth. The 10th avatar of vishnu. Supposed to come around the year 380,000. We are currently in the year 2007. The earth is not going to end any time soon. Though many of the christan faith believe otherwise. Wars are inevitable, but the end of the world is something else. That means when not "ONE" man will exist on this planet. The islamic faith states that on the day of resurection(meaning the time that jesus will decend on the earth), jesus will decend to the earth and he will abolish the crosses and judge all of mankind by the quran. In the hindu religion, kalki is going to destroy filth(that is his name) with the fury of nature. He is to come to earth when there are no longer any TRUE devoters on earth. But that does not mean that will be the end of the world, but only the starting of it being made anew. I think! The beast can be seen as many things, but we will all be physically perished by then. Hope that helped. PEACE!

The beast is a metaphor. The beast will crumble the great whore of babylon who sits on many oceans and uses the wings of the eagle to reign fire on the lands.

from the islamic point of view, the "Beast" is not the AntiChrist that Bible has it, instead, from Islamic point of view, the Beast comes after the AntiChrist has been killed by Jesus (PBUH) and after His (PBUH) death.
Beast from the Islamic perspecitve, differentiate between believers from unbelievers with Seals of Solomon and Staff of Moses (PUBThem).
do a search on yahoo for major signs before the day of judgment, and there will be something written by Ahmad Ali, which hopefully helps.
Allah knows best.
