Ive been on a Diet for over a year now, and i am doing very well. I often hear that you lose weight faster and more easier if you eat breakfast... How is this so??? I eat Honey Bunches of Oats which says its a good source of Whole Grain. Why is breakfast the "Most Important meal of the day"? Please let me know so i can know what to do. Thank you

Keep doing what you are doing! In time you will be able to increase your speed and length of the exercise. It is probable that your knee condition will go away as you lose weight! But keep it up....

With breakfast you can burn it off during the day and usually breakfast has smaller proportions oppose to dinner were you eat more then go to sleep. You don't burn the cal. or carbs. when you sleep.

Instead of eating a larger lunch, eat another server of cereal (3/4 cup) milk and fruit. It takes alot of cereal to equal the fat in a hamburger.

Dear Alice,

I would like to know the importance of breakfast. Why do we have to have breakfast?

Breakfast Boycotter

Some people believe that skipping breakfast may help them lose weight. Not so! Skipping meals often leads to overeating later in the day. Becoming overhungry often leads to a lack of control and distorted satiety signals (meaning it's hard to determine when you're full). This can result in taking in more calories than if one had an appropriate breakfast. As a matter of fact, it's easier to control one's weight by eating smaller meals and snacks more frequently.

During the night your metabolism slows down and you don't burn as much energy and fat. To give your body the sign: Hey, I'm up and active again, you'll give it a kick start by eating. My diet consultant told me, that you intestines have the same reflex as when you knock on you knee, it will move, so when eating breakfast you knock your intestines and they'll move too. The best way is to eat a big breakfast, a decent lunch and a small diner, because you won't burn these calories and don't eat 2 hours before sleeping. Hope it helps.

Many people ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").

The Hoodia sold at http://tinyurl.com/y389on is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping and handling charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). Fantastic results have been seen with this particular Hoodia.

Oatmeal is great for you, but cereal is very fattening!
Some fattening foods are OK for breakfast, and only then, because you will work it off with the activity of your day. Most important is to have a "protein" and "fruit" together at breakfast.

The most important feature of "weight watchers" program is having breakfast. Without it, you are in trouble.
(here's their very basic plan for a daily weight-loss routine, for women --- men can eat more, and lose weight).

(all meals must be eaten)
BREAKFAST:
1 egg or 1oz hard cheese or 2 oz. fish or 1/4 cup cottage cheese
1 slice of bread
4 oz. orange or grapefruit juice or 1/2 grapefruit
LUNCH:
4 oz. fish or 4oz. lean meat or 4 oz. poultry or 2/3 cup cottage cheese or 2 oz. hard cheese or 2 eggs
1 slice of bread
low-calorie vegetables like celery, lettuce, spinach, etc.
(NO EGGS, CHEESE OR BREAD AFTER LUNCH)
DINNER:
6 oz cooked lean meat, fish or poultry
vegetables
DAILY:
1 8 oz. glass of skim milk
3 fresh fruits

Helps keep a healthy body weight.
Breakfast helps control the urge to nibble or eat
too big a lunch. Even with breakfast, young kids
may need a small morning snack.

It's true breakfast will kick start your body by giving it energy to burn. It helps in diets because it keeps a regular eating schedule so your not starved by lunch time, shocking your system. By eating regularly you are also less likely to snack
