he has enough money to support himself ,good responsible job ,own house ,will return back after visit ,yet hes been turned down

reasons given for refusal were me being on benefit, gave info asked for but they said not enough detail

Your bf can come to UK on a 3m tourist visa.
Him having money doesn't matter unless he's RICH because he will not be able to support himself forever. If 3m is not enough time for a visit and he has been refused- then you might honestly consider marriage.
With a settlement Visa, he can be entitled to stay, live, work etc etc.
It also depends on what country you bf is from. This makes a LOT of difference these days. Scrutiny is HIGH... But good luck. There are ways around customs and immigration. But they do make life difficult for some hardworking honest folk too.

LOL, he must be a terrorist then or have a felony background. Quite frankly that is the only reason people are turned down for Visa.
