Ok. I have this question... I see many people answering stuff and adding the "God Loves you" "Jesus Helps" and other such phrases...
I think its ok if you believe in whatever god you believe. Some people are Christians, some are Muslims, Hindu or any other religion....
But I really dont understand what God has to do when a girl asks what to do when her father beats her, or how can Jesus help you when your girlfriend cheated on you???
I mean cmon on people... Religion is a personal choice so stop using it as panacea to anything you see...

i so agree with you it might come of as insulting telling a Muslim for example that Jesus loves them "so what my stepfather abuses me so Jesus loves me what about Allah" it should be one of yahoo rules instead of deleting stupid question because no question is stupid yahoo should spend time deleting stupid answers

That is easy. If you live for God and follow his path he will show you where he wants your life to go. Many times we are married to an abuser because we choose to marry this person and it was not Gods will at all. God will never guide us to marry a man that will beat us. When we live by our own will then we make these bad choices and reap bad consequences. When we ask God what he wants and deny our own desires then we see what it is all about. So many people live thier own way, then get religion. Then when things do not go there way they blame God and say well I live for religion etc. That is not Christianity. Live for God, build a personal relationship with him and let him lead your life. Religion does not save you. God does.

I wasn't raised in a religious relatives and that i honestly did not basically 'flow alongside with it'. not something significant 'surpassed off to me' to make me religious both. for a lengthy time period I had the feeling that something wasn't somewhat precise with the international and that i wanted solutions. note: i'm a Buddhist, with information from the way.

I sign all my answers GBY...for GOD BLESS YOU. That is my preference and yes, I do feel its appropriate for losing a girlfriend or anything else. Its just a signature. Compared to some of the avatars used here, the screen names chosen and the questions asked or statements made...it pales in comparison.

I understand your point but I think when it comes to the religious, no matter the religion, it often provides comfort for the believer. It might appear crazy to those who have their feet firmly planted in the secular world but religion can and often does aid someone who is suffering emotionally. The problem is, as you have pointed out, when is this appropriate and when isn't it?

You didn't ask a question. You made a statement.

God didn't promise us an easy road, but He promises to be there for us as we are going through this road.

I've been through troubled times, and I reflect back and realize that every hard time I've been through I have been able to use my experience to help others.

There's alot of pain and suffering in this world, yes. But knowing God is there for me while I'm going through it, brings strength, endurance and comfort.

Everytime I go through something, I ask "what is God trying to teach me? How can I use this experience to help others?"

And I do. I lead in Divorce Care, I lead a Bible study group in my home. I minister to other ladies who are going through what I've been through.

I agree

Ever watched bible camp, though? Some people just think "God Jesus God Jesus" all day long and nothing else. It's like an obsession and they apply it to EVERYTHING.

What do you mean stop using it. What good is it if you cant use it? Everyone expects a good miracle from their religion every once in awhile. Or at least a good coincidence they can claim as a miracle. Without asking for it how can they claim it is a miracle? God Bless OO

Some people hide behind their religion ...But they are probably not very educated
Also I hate when people respond to a legitimate question by saying Jesus Christ is my lord and savior ..............Very Creepy

God is relevant in every situation. Unless you have experienced it you won't understand how, but don't tell people who have experienced it that its irrelevant.
