in order to lose weight how many points do we need to use...daughter(17 yrs. 5' 8" 195 lbs) and i( 48 yrs 5'8" 200 lbs) both need to lose 40 lbs....have used WW before they had point system..successfully kept off 60 lbs for 20 years...but i had heel spurs and gained 40 lbs due to being sedentary over the last 2 yrs...do we use the points listed for the weight we are or the points we want to be???

Keep doing what you are doing! In time you will be able to increase your speed and length of the exercise. It is probable that your knee condition will go away as you lose weight! But keep it up....

You should use the points that correspond to your goal weight. But work gradually. Therefore your daughter should be eating between 20 - 25 points. And you should be eating 22 - 27 right now. Then, as you get more healthy you can step down to the next point range. Good luck : )

your points per day are determined by your weight. as you loose your points per day decrease.
