Sure you can. Cut it into chunks and make sure it is well drained. IF it is fresh, let it sit in a colander for a bit. It freezes very well. But the above answers are correct about being able to buy it in the stores as part of smoothie mixes. They have a good selection of frozen fruit to choose from at the stores. Usually cheaper than fresh and you can get it mixed with other types of fruit also.

Can You Freeze Pineapple

Almost! you would be better off if you drained the pineapple first and placed it on a baking sheet. AFTER it is completely frozen, flip them off the sheet and then youcan stick them in the freezer bag, this is so when you need to use them, you won't have a huge chunk of pineapple pieces that you can't get apart, and they will be frozen, but nice and loose which makes using them later on much easier. hope this helps!

Hi.
Here you have how to freeze pineapples.

Select firm, ripe pineapple with full flavor and aroma.
Pare and remove core and eyes. Slice, dice, crush or cut
the pineapple into wedges or sticks.

Unsweetened pack
Pack fruit tightly into containers without sugar. Leave
1/2 inch headspace. Seal, label and freeze.

Syrup pack
Pack fruit tightly into containers. Cover with 50-
percent syrup (1 cup water to 1 cup sugar) made with
pineapple juice, if available, or with water. Leave 1/2
inch headspace. Seal, label and freeze.

(for canned pineapples you should use the syrup method, put the fruit into containers and cover it with the syrup provided in the original can)
