Put pictures of fat women on your fridge and then you have to look at how gross you'd look if you keep eating.

Well what about a picture of yourself now and what you want to look like when you have reached your goal. I have gained a lot of weight over the last few years and I work out now and eat much better than I did. I have a picture of me when I got married where I looked really healthy and that is what I want to get back to, then other side I have a picture that someone took this past summer or the summer before where I look really fat and unhealthy. They are both taped to my tread mill, this motivates me to stay on an additional amount of time to up the incline or move faster.

Maybe it will work for you.

The thing that has helped me most is writing my exercise for the day on a calendar. I was amazed how much it bothered me when I couldn't write something down and if you keep it for a year you can look back at it for inspiration. I have done it for years but am not very proud of my calendar lately I'm trying to make it look better this year. Just jot down if you walk today how much and add on anything else you do.

I am a member of a gym and I take my gym bag with me to work so that I can go straight there after work. I found that when I used to go home I'd lollygag around for a few minutes (open mail, grab a quick snack) and then head out about a half hour later. Plus, it gets you to the gym later and everyone rushes after work. So, I got sick of not having a machine.

By considering the alternative. Once you get to a certain age, if you don't exercise and eat right, you will gain weight. Gain enough weight and clothes don't fit and you set yourself up for a lot of health problems which require medications.

The most important thing is to find something you like. If you don't like it you will never stick to it.
