Oh how I wish that there were a definitive answer to this question. Wine is all about personal taste and no two people have a same "best" wine. There are enough different kinds of wine that you could drink one bottle a day for 10 years and still no try all of them. If you like sweet try a "Moscato" if you like dry give "Pinot grisio" a test.
My personal favorite at the moment is a New Mexico wine made by Blue Teal and it is a Reisling. But there is a great Shiraz made by Fat Bastard Vinyards in Australia. I hope this help you with your decision.

It is not a matter of best or worse. What really matter,is the taste,quality,origen,process,region,grape.stile.The answer for those question travel to Europe. The best wine in the world is in Europe. Why?Culture for million of year.Remember, the Romans were wine drinkers. The Greeks, too. So,I will rest my case.

I enjoy the wines here in North Carolina made from the Muscadine grape. Truth is, I have met very few wines I didn't like. Oh, for a bottle of Thunderbird.......lol!!

I really enjoy a petite syrah by Silkwood grown, aged and bottled here in sunny California. My husband loves honey wine (or mead) from Ireland. Chaucers has some lovely dessert wines as well. I prefer my wines from local vintners.

I love Chilean wines that use the Bordeaux grape Carmenère, and I think the story behind the grape and how it came to be associated with Chile is fascinating!

It's whatever you like.
I like the sweet stuff, don't care if it's red, white, rose'...as long as it's sweet.
I could have a $800 bottle of dry wine and to me...it tastes like shxt.
So far, the best stuff I've ever had is what my Uncle Chuck makes, it's cherry wine.
What can I say, I'm such a hillbilly.

I'm not a wine snob. I personally prefer Schmitt-Sohnne Riesling. To me, it has a perfect blend of flavors, it is reasonably priced, not too sweet, not too bitter. It's a fantastic white, and can be served with practically anything.
