Have you considered that your partner might be using you?
He is an illegal immigrant a desperate action to take. He cannot afford to be discovered. Even if the system is so hamstrung that he ends up in a detention centre for years before being 'processed' in whatever way.
Our emotional attachments make us do very irrational and sometimes dangerous things.
Obviously you were not thinking of advising he was illegal, just telling the social services that someone new has moved in and your circumstances have changed etc.

Don't do this, he is currently outside the system, if he moves in it will attract questions.

Also I doubt he really does intend to leave and return, this is only to convince you it will be for a short while etc and is amongst the oldest emotional tricks on the planet.

Say no you can't move in as it will put him (not you) at risk. If he has the resources to return 'home' and then back to the UK legitimately he shouldn't object to much.

You are already in trouble to some extent it would be a bad move to make this worse, desperate people do desperate things.

Tell the social or you will get caught and be in a lot of trouble. It the likes of your partner that come here illegal and they get everything handed to them on a plate while we suffer by paying higher taxes and not being able to get a council house or flat, for example my friend who pays full rent for a 1 bed flat has not been moved to a bigger place and she has a 7 & 3 year old and a 7 month old baby and they still have not rehomed her because all the council places go to all the immigrants. You hear storys of illegal immigrants driving illegally and killing innocent people because their reckles and dont give a dam as long as they get free NHS, homes and money that my taxes pay for. You will be a fool to marry him let him go back home and stay there and never come back because you dont know what he is really like untill you get married. He could turn out to be a evil wife beater or any thing because as soon as that ring is on your finger he could treat you like s**t. If you stay with him I hope you are not one of the unlucky women I have read about who have done a the same thing as you and found out to late what their Immigrant of foreign partners become after marriage.

I think you should be ashamed of yourself just as others have said on here. Have a reality check and you might just realise that your 'man' is marrying you simply for a passport and a charmed life of living off the social. Don't you want something better for yourself than that - perhaps a man who is proud and wants to work to take care of his family and possibly future wife? I am pretty sure you will marry him though, and also that you will regret it when he walks out on you after a year or so.

How can you even consider getting married when you are not working, how can you even afford it?

Do you not fancy living with him in his home country? I'm sure he has a nice welcoming extended family who will welcome you with open arms. In fact suggest it, and see him change his interest in you the minute you offer to move back home with him in his home country.

You need to get a job, a life, some respect for this country (and yourself) and a decent bloke. Either that or look forward to a lifetime of poverty.

well ,he shouldn't even be here should he???hello!! ILLEGAL!!!Don't we have enough immigrants over here, scrounging off the state without one more to add to the game?My mother is 61 years old and still works hard, from 6;30am to 7pm sometimes, and for what?To pay taxes and support people like your lover. It makes me sick. The social want to know when anybody over here on benefits ,moves a partner in,so I'm sure they would be exactly the same with someone who should not be here.I would watch your back if I were you,or you could both wind up in jail!

I recover money owed due to benefit fraud, and this is one of the most common causes of benefit overpayments. Living together as husband and wife is the description used. You will get in trouble for it, and don't think you can hide it as someone will inform the fraud hotline, and you face court action, and will have to repay all benefit to which you were not entitled to. So do the right think or you may be talking to me in person very soon.

By helping anyone who is in this country ILLEGALLY, you have committed a CRIME!!!!!
And, if you do not report this to social security, you WILL, at some point be reported, and when you are, you will be in BIG trouble!!!! Probably even do JAIL time!!!! (You CAN be arrested just for harboring an ILLEGAL!!!!!

You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself to even post this in the first place. Don't you think there are enough immigrants in this country without enticing more trouble.. True Brit.

How about in March, both you and your partner, book tickets to his country, meet up with his folks and then STAY there.
Why on earth I pay my taxes, on time, in full so that the likes of you can rip of the system and illegally into the bargain, I do not know.
Please tell me what have EITHER of you done to help this country of ours?
Or is it all about what you reckon you and the likes of this illegal are owed?
The sooner all law abiding, taxpaying British people wake up to the rip off government who not only allow this but actively encourage it, the better.
So have a good trip in March.
Close the door on your way out.

Of course you should tell them. What is there to fear? This country is especially generous to illegal immigrants. Social will be so hampered by the Rules of Political Correctness that they won't be able to sell him to Immigration Control for fear of infringing his human rights.
