Men can be selfish, as can women. New Years Eve is supposed to be spent with "Friends" and if he needs for you to drink with him, there is a bigger problem (like control, or an alcoholic in the making). I am sure he would say that there are other reasons for the break up.

I can see why he would get mad, seeing that he want to welcome the New Years with you, but I cant see why he would break up with you....Could it have been that welcoming the New Year meant a lot to him....? I'm not being sarcastic just wondering, I do think it was wrong on his part to break up with you, that is a bit childish. But maybe if he is willing to give you up that easily then it wasn't meant to be.

all da gurls r answering saying negative things about guys, although in ur case the guy is an idiot and ur better off wthout him, gurls can b stupid 2, e.g. "im confused about our relationship" or "i cant do this to u anymor" or my all time favrit " i love u so much but i cnt b with u rite now my heds messd up" haha gurls r idiots 2

I suspect he broke up with you because you preferred the company of others to his on a night that should be special to couples. New year, new promises, the nice midnight kiss....

Why blame the other when you (or both of you) failed to reach a compromise? Wouldn't you break up with him if you "did not get what you wanted?" Not all guys act like him. There are also girls who act like him.

That's not the only reason. If so, he is nuts, and you don't need him. It's more likely that the reality is that there are other things going on here that you aren't talking about or don't know about.

well all guys are not like that ! what i would do is say hey do i have a ring on my finger ? then OK i can go hang out with the girls and do what i want . the reason he wanted you to get drunk with him is because he just wanted sex and some men are like that those are the ones that you have to be careful with ....

Guys are usually simple minded and act upon impulse. Maybe it was many events that made that one the last straw to make his final descision. Don't be hard on yourself over it, get somebody you deserve :)

Not all guys do this. Just the one's that wants things to be their way.
So find a guy who will not break up with you when you don't see eye-to-eye on issues.

guyz can be very weird and sometimes use stupid excuses just to break up. thats a really dum reason th break up with someone . there had to be something else behind that.
