the people that would have these coins would know what they are and have them on them for a reason i don't think that they were going to start issuing these coins they are simply testing the limits of how small they can get a tracking device, a device that small can get smaller and with advances they could hear voice this would be nice for many reasons

Well, the only way Canadian money is even worth anything is if it is filled with hightech spying device. I used to use Canadian singles as toilet paper (because it was cheaper than buying toilet paper in the States!) before they got rid of them.

I actually think the whole concept is pretty stupid. You would be able to track a coin but not a person. What's to say that person didn't use the coin in a gum machine, news paper stand, parking meter. Now your tracking the Gum Machine, news paper stand, or parking meter. Then the collector for it, then a bank somewhere.

Might be good for coin collectors in Limited production coins sort of an Authenticity verification. Or you might be able to see the first stop or two a worker makes at the end of a shift, if you flooded your plant with the coins. But if they are like a lot of people the coin will find it's way to a change jar at the workers home and sit there, for months waiting to become part of a roll of coins on it's way to a bank somewhere. But I guess the right salesman could sell ice cubes to an eskimo. Someone will buy it, wether it's useful , practical, or worthless.

I think it's a ruse. What could anyone accomplish with this stupid spy device. The Government is trying to raise paranoia levels again. They want us to be afraid so we'll support the war, so everyone involved in Haliburtin and the oil business (hmmm pres and vice pres???) will make all the money they can.

Personally, I hope that you go into big business. That way, I can steal your industrial secrets and profit from them.

Everyone spies on everyone else. The main target, however, is not necessarily military secrets, but industrial espionage. Big business is ALWAYS looking for a leg up, and that's the way they do it.

If I wanted to live in Canada, I'd move. I am very, very happy right here in the United States.
