A collector is no big deal, an IRS agent is a heart stopping, sweat inducing nightmare.

As the IRS has the power to take all your bank accounts, garnish your wages, track you down through your job, I wonder what an outside agency could do for them.

Seems that the IRS thinks that an ordinary collection agency would strike more fear into the hearts of deadbeats than the IRS themselves could. I've ignored a few debt collectors in my day -- but have NEVER ignored an IRS notice!
