i am sick of getting mindless violations on quite reasonable questions...questioners are not anonymous so why should the people that report them be...maybe there should be a system whereby 'reporters' should have their Y! identity shown as do the questioners...and maybe then they should be penalised if they misreport a question...anyone in favour please say AYE...i will send this question to an actual person at Y! and push my case for this...im a determined chickadee when i want to be,lol...;0)

I watched Yahoo Answers for a long time before deciding to try it, and I understand your reasoning. I can see that there are a lot of people who do not take it seriously, and seem to want only to provoke others.
But I have also seen questions posted that were truly sick, and question/answer-givers who address others here by name using various forms of harassment.
If you took away the anonymity, people would be afraid to say anything for fear of being harassed, and it would start a senseless feud that could easily make this get the way the message boards were
Try rewording your questions. It could be that you are just saying things in a way that angers people. Or perhaps you have already drawn the ire of some nasty person who follows you just to harass you. Maybe you should change your nickname? It looked possible. It's in the edit profile.

If you remove the anonymity from a violation, then YA would be nothing but people getting back at other people. Even though it would be nice to see who reported you for something stupid, you would be less likely to report someone for something serious for fear of retaliation.

Then people wouldn't report anyone, because they'd get grief if they put their contact details up... I've been accused of reporting people, and have reported people for stuff inappropriate to the site...
You are just upset that people don't like you... It is all a bit of fun, so stop getting your panties in a bunch and go find another hobby, like knitting!!! :D
