Most animals instinctively do their own preparations. The only thing you might be able to do is provide her access to a warm dark and small place to give birth in. For instance, the back of a dark closet. Good luck.

your best bet would be to contact the chihuahua lady on yahoo answers here cause she breeds them I believe and she could probably give you some good pointers. good luck to you.
