Wasn't that a question on your licence exam? ;-)
Yes the antenna tuner goes in between your amplifier and your radio.

Radio -> Amplifier -> Antenna Tuner -> Antenna

P.S. - If your antenna tuner is not rated for the output of your amplifier, get a better antenna tuner! Don't place it before the amp!

well buddy if u have to ask, stop. and ask ur self. I'm i license for the watt I'm going to use? second what the rating on the rest of the equipment I'm using : tuner, meters ,,antennas ,and because u ask please check and make sure there is no RF leak remember RF u can not see it but is there and it hurts

i think you should check to see what the watt rating is for the tuner.if your amp puts out more than it is rated for then put it after.i guess my first question should have been, is it a pre-amp or a linear? a pre-amp won't make any difference.
