there's little one can do, other than over-clocking, to increase your ram's speed. normally one can INCREASE the amount of ram memory (i.e. go to a gig of memory instead of 512 megs)
if you want to see what type of ram your computer uses and your upgrade options, there are several sites that can scan your computer, or you can input your information and it will tell you your options.

Chances are you have the maximum speed RAM for your motherboard. The only thing you probably can do is to get a new motherboard with faster RAM.

The speed of your RAM is hardwired; the only way to make it faster is to buy new RAM.

Add more memory. You can get memory modules fairly cheaply at Best Buy, Circuit City or on the Internet.
