I forgot about the warning, and accidentally took the prozac with my vitamins and got TERRIBLE heartburn. Is that why they say not to take together? Do they react or something?

It will affect how it works on you, don't drink alcohol or anything with caffeine either.

depending on what vitamins you're taking they can interefere with the way prozac is metabolized so it won't work right. that's why they say not to take a multivitamin. talk to your doc and pharmacist and they can tell you what vitamins to specifically avoid. it will make life easier because there are food sources of most common vitamins, and you might have to modify your diet as well.
