You said he was into drugs, and are you as well?
You will never have a solid relationship if both of you are chemically dependent. Perception of reality is twisted.

Why are you concerned what his friends think anyway? You're not dating them. They don't sign your paycheck or pay your bills so who cares? If they don't give you any respect in your home, then kick their loser butt's out. If your "man" doesn't have the spine to say anything about it, he can hang out on the porch with the other dogs.

Both of you need to ignore what so called friends say and work things out on your own. If your boyfriend doesn't want to do that, you might consider moving on. I know that is hard but sometimes you just have to. It will take him a long, long time before he can completely trust you again and you'll just have to be patient. But I wouldn't let a friend run their mouth, I would tell them real quick that it's none of their business and to keep their mouth shut. Take up for yourself, don't wait for someone else to do it for you. I think your boyfriend will respect you for it.

You are not doing fine by yourselves. By the fact that he's so controlling, it's clear he hasn't gotten over what you did yet. Being a prisoner doesn't atone for what you did, it just makes for a shitty relationship. Hint: when owning up to something you did, don't ever follow up any of your confessions with "but". Makes you sound insincere. Don't worry about what his friend said. Focus on what's going one between you two.

Hell no! And his freind is a jerk, and he has no right to tell you who you can hang out with and who you can't hang out with. Don't take that crap.
