Yes we've lost enough people. And to answer the previous responder...why would "liberals" have needed a plan for the last 4 years? Bush created this mess...YOU supported it...now that it's the huge mess "liberals" said it would be BEFORE Bush sent troops in, you want a plan from "liberals"? What's your plan? Make a lot of money? That's Bush's plan, it's always been his plan. You made this mess by supporting a corporate criminal's venture to rape America...YOU clean up the mess! And do it quietly...we're tired of your whining.

Iraq is not in a civil war. That is pure spin. There are at least 6 other factions all religious in nature, and not to mention the other 3 known that come from Iran/Syria. Most Iraqi's like that we are there and are protetecting them. What it is, is nothing more than chaos amongst the insurgents and clans. And Iran wants to rule Iraq. Just like In Korea, we were fighting against the russians, we are now fighting Iran. We must clamp down the towns, clamp down the borders the best that we can, and not allow anyone through. It is well known that the IED's and other weapons are coming directly from Iran. Pretty scary what would happen if islami-fascist would get control of the country strategically speaking, don't you think? What people fail to realize is just how important this particular piece of real estate is to the surrounding countries, but most people are sheep to how the rest of the world actually operates.
...our objective has never changed. And that it is to stabalize the region.
And it is we in the military that are sticking our beliefs on the line, so don't worry about what the casualty count is. We believe in what we do, and it is what get paid for. And to that end, the casualty count is so low, that its almost unimaginable. 3k in 3 years. Korea, we lost 58K in the same amount of time. Quite a testament to our training, technology, our ability to adapt, how smart we are, and our sheer audacity.

I agree we need to bring the troops home but if you haven't noticed there are insurgents striking in areas the US has won. This is due to terrorist coming from places like Syria. If there are not enough troops to prevent them from coming in and retaking areas it makes the danger of attacks even greater. If they US pulled out right now without at least getting the Iraqi military and government to a point where they can defend their own people then the terrorist groups will be the government and future strikes on the US soil will happen.

Iraq has not turned into a civil war, but in order to avoid that there were certain sectarian strongholds that were left alone. Since those areas are where the insurgency is eminating those areas are no longer off limits. It sounds like the plan is in place to stop the insurgency and avoid a civil war.

Iraq has not turned into a civil war, although by your tone it sure sounds like you hope it does.
The key is, the fighting, as horrible as it is, is taking place right now in Iraq, rather in twenty years from now in Indiana or Illinois. You're pick, but sooner or later you have to pay the piper for years of liberal appeasement.

Let's face it - you nor I know the first thing about running a country, let alone running a country at war. We don't know half of the things that go on behind the scenes so there's no sense making some sort of pretense that you're intelligent because you don't believe the president.

After liberals have had NO plan for 4 years, how would anybody listen to them?
Honestly, regardless of whether or not you ilke Bush's plan about winning in Iraq, at least he has one. Why don't you ask your Democratic senators what their "plan" is for Iraq - I guarantee they wouldn't be able to answer.
