Unknowingly making a false statement in or out of court is absolutley not a crime, so you are not in trouble here.
If the statement you made had a direct impact on the outcome of the case, and your coming would change that outcome, then I would say yes, contact the D.A.'s office and explain what happened. If the statement you made has no bearing on the outcome and nothing would be changed by your making a corrected statement then I would say let it go.
However, above all else, honesty is always the best policy.
Good Luck

Yes right away, depending on the seriousness of the case. I you set the record straight it will look the best for you. There are perjury and false statement laws, so set the record straight before someone tries to call you on your unknowingly made false statements. If it was an accident so be it but don't let it get out of control.

"Unknowingly"??? No such thing. You either know...or you don't. Remember...if you believed it was the truth then it was. Of course, it will be YOUR responsibility at the purgerory phase of your trial to convince the jury you believed it to be the truth.
Kind of a Catch-22 huh?
Life sure is strange.

If you did it unknowingly, I'd say contact them to let them know. If it was intentional, that could qualify as perjury and you could be in trouble.
But as long as you are honest, they should be grateful.
Justice should always be served. Hope this helps.
