I think its funny that us regular citizens know MORE than the president. GET OUR BOYS HOME and let Iraq take care of themselves. They can fight each other as well as they fight us, and may the best team win. Hell, EVERYBODY seems to know that EXCEPT the president.

It is a common and popular misconception that more troops means more security. This misconception is in fact so popular and so common that politicians all through history have held to it, while Generals have had many sleepless nights trying to convince them otherwise.
Doubtless the wisdom of increasing US military visibility in a place where visibility tends to be met with explosions will prove deeply questionable before too long - especially considering the quality of the soldiers being sent. I think I read they were mostly National Guard; no offense, but reservists are hardly what Iraq needs more of.
My sympathies go to our troops already committed and those soon to be sent; I wish them all the success they can muster in a difficult situation as usual made more difficult by the blunderings of politicians.
As for a force to invade the US and topple the current administration - hrm. Give me twelve SAS and I'll do it for you in a week.
;)

This country impeached Nixon for lying about Watergate, Clinton for lying about sex but after 6 years of watching Bush walk all over the Constitution, send over 3,000 Americans to their deaths, drive the National debt through the roof to spend billions in Iraq, what are we doing? Waiting for Bush to come up with a plan. Here's a plan. Get this clown out of office.

Eh don't fall too much for the "against his general's advice" line from the Dems (I am a very liberal dem by the way)... Seriously the country needs some damn control, and I liked the idea of putting forces/areas more under Iraqi control. I think pulling out is way more cracked out than 20,000 more...

Why does everbody blame Dubyah?.He's only reading what he's told to read off the autocue!..He doesnt know or understand anything..Thats why he was put there by his 'controllers' in the military industrial complexes and the oil business!..they bought him body and soul, they own him, he wasnt even legally elected, they managed to rig it for him in Florida and Ohio!
They wanted someone of very limited IQ who went to the right schools and colleges, belonged to the right secret societys, came from the right family, and wouldnt question his orders..Dubyah doesnt make any decisions at all..Dick cheney is the one who has the corporate power, not Dubyah!..Poor Dubyah doesnt have the vaguest clue of what its all about!..

YES, Aim afraid so. At first I figured that we would allow him to finish out his term so that he could not come back again, but now he is really starting to concern me. This man is in TOTAL denial, that the American people do not want this lying A##!** war, and have sent out a strong message via the November elections and this dude still is not listening, the man is totally mad and should be replaced ASAP before we all get killed or worst.

Why can't anyone understand that the more troops we put into Iraq the faster we can get the job done and the faster they can come home.
What happens when you put more police patrol into a high crime area? The crime rate goes down.
With that logic, the same thing should happen in Iraq.
The troops that are already there need to be relieved. It is not fair to not support them when there are perfectly well-trained and capable soldiers here in the states.
P.S. My husband is a soldier fighting in Iraq, so I hear it from the horse's mouth.

Sorry, Bush may be crazy, but Iraq has nothing to do with Bush. He is just doing his job the best he can. It's obvious you couldn't run a war or lead a country any better than him. Please believe me, I don't want them to send any more troops to Iraq. My husband's a soldier.

i feel Bush is acting like a two year old who wants to prove that the balloon wasn't supposed to break. he's trying to prove his beliefs right- not because he's mad but because he's simple. such are the people who leads everyone to ruin jsut to prove he's right.
