I found this Lindt chocolate easter bunny in my cupboard best-before dated June 06!! But it's mostly sugar, right?

Chocolate and sugar are both pretty hardy food. They last almost indefinitely and can be eaten safely. Sugar is added to chocolate to make it sweet. Chocolate itself is really kind of bitter. Go ahead and indulge.

IN your cupboard it should be fine but if it were in a damp basement or something I would be Leery of eating it.
Sometimes the chocolate LOOKS spoiled but is really OK simply due to the cocoa butter rising to the top. It appears to have a frosty white film on it. '06 candy will be just fine. I always save all the bunnys, buy them AFTER Easter on sale and then freeze them for Christmas cookie baking.

I don't think chocolate spoils really it sometimes "blooms" which simply means all the coca-butter has came to the top it usually has a white film which forms on the surface of the chocolate this is totally harmless. I think it makes it taste different some say not. Rule of thumb if in doubt throw it out.

Want it badly?
It should not spoil if it has been put in a dry place with a good cool temprature degree.
however, do remember... chocolate has some oil too...

yes. it will go bad faster if you refrigerate it.
if you really want it to stay good longer dont put it in warm/cod places.

if it has white stuff on it then don't eat it but if it doesn't i think it could be ok but if i were you i still wouldn't eat it because it does have milk in it
