burning more calories than you take in. you do this through eating healthy foods and exercising. that's the way it's been for 3 billion years.
i have heard that losing no more than 1 pound a week is the best way, otherwise you might shock your system a bit and it will over-react, lowering your metabolism.
healthy life habits, not yo-yo dieting. woo hoo. and fresh air and lots of water.

I lost 3 stone in six months on weight watchers ,I found that for that those six months if i stuck to it and exercise three times a week ,i went swimming twice a week(for an hour) and a long walk .The weight dropped off .once i reached my goal of 9 1/2 stone ,i still have to exercise but i can be less rigid with the diet within reason .
I have always been a bit overweight a uk size 14-16(now a size 8-10) and i tried loads of fad diets they work intially but its imposible to stick to them for ever once u start to eat normally the weight piles back on .I definately recomend weight watchers u can eat what u want within reason and still drink and eat out .Its the only time ive lost weight and kept it off .Its so easy to stick to ,if u cant go to a meetin then do it online
U can lose the weight and eat normally .Im 22 and at uni so i still party and drink and have my chicken burger and chips on the way home on a saturday nite
IF I CAN DO IT U CAN
hope this was helpful , and good luck

Weight Watchers. Having never gone to them before I decided I would try, went not really believing it would work, had tried many diets myself without success.
In my first 2 weeks I lost half a stone and the weight just continued to fall off. So far I've lost 1 stone and 10lbs. Initially I did no exercise at all and still lost the weight, now I feel so much better, I'm constantly active. The good thing is you can have a treat if you want you just work it into your points. I have never once felt I was doing without, which for me was the key to success.

Well I have done some research on diets and also asked some doctors and pharmacists.
Best thing is to eat regulary but small portions, get lots of proteins such as fish, nuts, beans. Try to stay away from red meat, all of it. If you DO want to eat it, eat less of it and early in the day.
Eat less and light at night, youre body goes into sleep mode where it does not digest the food.
There is so many things people say but just eat less, you dont have to starve youreself or eat crappy foods.
But really, give it a try and leave the meat, just for a month and you will see and feel the difference.
Best of luck not that you need it,im sure of that...

Slowly, steadily and sensibly!
Aim to loose between 1 to 2 lbs a weeks, this would equate to 32 pounds by May (2 stone 4 ponds) which is close to your target.
Eat fewer calories and burn off more by increasing exercise. You could try this site which offers a three day free traial. It's www.weightlosresources.com
There is no secret to loosing weight and no magic potion, juice or combination of foods that will make you loose weight. Its a case of burning off more calories than you eat. Simple!

Plenty of fruit and vegetables. Chicken and Turkey and grill them. Try not to eat any carbs, processed foods, sweets cakes etc and do at leat 30 mins of excercise per day. The key is to do it gradually and not try to lose too much too soon. I think to lose 2 and half stone by May is a lot - but good luck anyway.

If you drink soda stop these will cut a lot of calories down. Also make sure you are drinking 8 - 8 fl oz glasses a day this is the number one thing you will feel better and this will make you feel full especially when drinking water with a meal. if you don't excises than add a thirty minuet walk to your daily routine. Make sure you are getting your vegetables and fruits if you need a snack, then snack on veg's or fruit. Just cut a few calories out of your daily meal. Good Luck

Cutting down calories will help but your metabolism needs to be kept high to burn calories. If you exercise as well then that should get the right balance. you dont want to lose wight too quickly as it is less likely to stay off. Aim to lose 2-3lb a week on a healthy eating plan rather than crash diet. Try to eat fresh prepared/cooked food rather than ready meals etc as these tend to have higher salt/fat/sugar levels & be more unhealthy. Hope this helps

You don’t need to exercise for long periods of time. Short, sharp sets of exercise will produce better results in case you work hard. Get a bypassing rope, skip for two units, do push ups for 60 seconds or so, skip for two minutes, rest first minute. Then change the push approximately something else like sit ups and also do the set again. Repeat it five times and it’s a fast, effective workout that will recover results than a long function or swim.
