im referring to a black child i know white girls still wear ponytails that have long hair but picture a black shirt with ponytails that arent shoulder length

it depends on what kind of barrets you are talking about and how many you put in your head but i dont think u ever get to old for that oh and dont wear so many poinytalils no more than 2 or 3 if you r in the six grade

I worked for this one company where you had to pull your hair back because of all the machines and etc. I got used to wearing my hair in a ponytail since i was at work more then home ;o) and I often wear it still in a ponytail. I see lots of people still using barrettes and they're not kids;o) I don't think there's really a age set for either.

You are never too old for ponytails, they are great for keeping your hair out of your face when you are working. As for barrettes, they sell ones that are for more mature women in pharmacies and department store. I myself wear the bigger ones in the back and am approaching thirty, I just buy more elegant looking ones and use them with braids and buns for a more mature look. I'd say around 12 is the time to put away the cute little pink barrettes you put in girls hair.

I am 34 years old with shoulder length hair and I love my two ponytails in the summer. I am also black with a nice grain of hair, so in the summer when your hair gets sweaty, the ponytails stay nicer. I wear them puffy or braided.

I wear a ponytail all the time. I'm 50. Maybe I've regressed. No barrettes though.
A ponytail is a classic. It can be worn forever it just goes lower on the head.

never. there is no right or wrong age for ponytails they can look very classy. im 21 and some times wear my hair in pigtails so it really dont matter

ponytails are ok but the barrettes should stop when they are about 10
