a whole bunch of things actually. The Song of Solomon is very sexual in my book. some denominations say otherwise. Also, David was punished for the Bathsheba incident, but that was more for killing someone than the temptation, it appears. hum. Throughout the Old Testament, there are many instances of temptation, and the people are punished not for the actual temptation, but for other things (like sleeping with family members, disobeying G-d, etc). The New Testament is much more anti giving in to sexual temptation.

The use of the word ‘temptation’ should be a clue of the bias and ignorance religion has inflicted on human society.

You had might as well ask about our ‘temptation’ to eat and our ‘temptation’ to breath.

Dim-witted and insecure religious zealots have never understood nor been comfortable with their own biological nature and the reality-based world.

Hating humanity as well as themselves, these self-loathing people are miserable and think they will be happy if everyone else in the world is just as miserable as they are. It is their Godly mission to spread misery to every corner of the earth.

And if non-believers do not like it…well…then… they will be tortured, burned, ripped limb-from-limb, gutted, and have their heads whacked off - Praise God

1 Corinthians 6 (New International Version)

18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

All are tempted, even Jesus was. But don't entertain the thoughts. Jesus says if you lust this is like doing the action. Sex outside of marriage is sin. Lust is sin. To combat sin, one must renew the mind, this is by studying the Word of God.
