if you don't have any symptoms i would think its unlikely if you have a urinary tract infection you should know about it, i get them quite frequently and have a fairly sensitive bladder now, did you do a wee sample? if so they would have tested it for proteins, bloods etc and you do have one and the test results are correct you probably will get symptoms.
i would make an appointment and go back and speak to the Dr and ask if you need antibiotics (remember the pro biotic yogurt plain and eat it the antibiotic kills off good bacteria allowing the candida virus, thrush to take roost a bit (not the same tub obviously!)and apply locally if thrush becomes a problem). if you have a strong immune system you may well have no need for antibiotics, see how you get on and if you gt symptoms go back, if not go back In a couple of weeks and have another urine sample tested and see if it has cleared up by its self.
good luck, and dont fret you maybe fine i have just given you info i wish i had when i first started getting UTI's and cystitus!

If the doctor told you there is an infection, didn't he also prescribe an antibiotic. Something doesn't sound right here. Call back and ask for specifics. I have never heard of a urine infection. Perhaps a urinary tract infection. You need an antibiotic. Make sure you get one.

urine infection can travel up 2 the kidneys & can be nasty. You can make an appointment at a nearby docs if you are on holiday, you dont have to be registered there. You can drink plenty water & also cranberry juice to help flush out the infection meantime but you really need antibiotics

If you're in the UK you can go to your local Boots or pharmacist that has a minor ailments service. The pharmacist can write a prescription for you which should do the trick. You need to be careful with urine infections as they can spread to your kidneys. In the meantime, drink lots of cranberry juice as it helps stop bacteria from sticking to your bladder and urinary tract which will help.
Call your local Boots or pop into your local chemist for info on the minor ailments service.
Alternatively, your own doctor may be able to prescribe something for a family member to collect and post on to you.

So..
My friend Rose was about 50 when she first came upon a new natural kidney healing program. Her life had been devastated, literally ruined with stage 4 kidney disease. She had no life, no job because she was too sick to work, not enough energy to see her friends and sat around most of the time watching TV. She basically was waiting around for kidney failure and to start dialysis. She is much better now. She followed a natural method with great results. Sounds like there could be more kidney involvement than just your bladder (as the urine would sting as it comes out, otherwise). Kidneys cannot repair themselves, so treatment is essential. Drink plenty of fluids until you see the Doc tomorrow.

No, I don't think so, I had the same problem (lots of times) and I always had to take antibiotics for it. If you do not treat the problem it can get worse and later on there will be blood in your urine etc. Ask your chemist what he/she can prescribe.

That depends what kind of urine infection.
You should get medical treatment some way you can if your doctor says so.
