In Psychology, love is a predisposition to someone or thing not a feeling because you love your mother in a different manner from your girlfriend.

Biologically, love is a feeling that bond individuals. Like another animals, humans are social and need this bonds to maintain together one another. Principally, when a mate is found and when females have babies.

This behavior allows the human reproduction, maintaining the male and female together to raise their sons. In my animal behavior book there is an example of a kind of mammal that is solitary (not social) and when the researchers injected oxitocine to them they form bonds and stay together with their mates. The oxitocine is a hormone that causes a female can lactate the babies, causes the contractions when they give birth and is associated in the feeling of love.

Love is difficult to define. How do you avoid confusing it with infatuation or lust? Philosophers and psychologists both have attempted to define love, per least its difference from infatuation and lust. If you are looking to find love, the following observations may be helpful.
Love is much more than a risk, but is a risk that one can take and grasp and fall into a dark abyss or dig oneself a hole and only crawl back when you overcome your emotions.
How can one truly define what love is? Not even an experienced person can truly grasp or explain love to its truest and deepest meaning. Its concepts are just a never ending story of an open book of experiences. But love does lie in one's heart, where memories are but shadows lingering in your soul.

Quote the great Agent Smith (Matrix)- Why Mr. Anderson? Why get up? Why keep fighting? What do you fight for? Peace? Or is it love? Love is just a word, Mr. Anderson. A word to describe an emotion created by a feeble species trying to justify their pathetic existence in the universe. Only humans could create a pointless emotion like love." Give or take a few words.

It is very difficult to explain, because many people think they love someone and it is actually lust. I am in love and i think it means that even when the person does wrong you still actually love them (you might be angry) and you love them unconditionally (meaning that even if they became paralyzed / lost an arm you would still find hem attractive and feel the same about them). I don't know how to explain to someone else what love is, but i think you Will know when you are there.

Mwah, have a great day!

i think love is looking in that person's eyes and looking into their soul and know every corner everything in there and loving every cenimeter of it, love is something higher than mountians, the world, the universe, above feelings, above lust, and anything we can comprehend. love is something no one will ever understand it is above human knowledge. the only way we kno that is is there is because it is something that happens wen two people's hearts are joined and their connection is so strong that nothing in the world could ever compare could ever comprehend or create. it is something made w/o doubt w/o hesititation. it is something that god or people can't ever break or even try to. it is something that wont let go, or go away, and even wen these two hearts meet it takes the biggest risk of all to love and that is to trust w/o doubt to never look bac to give their heart to another and no one else.
