Believers in any deity. I didn't realize I had to spell it out *that* plainly.

I estimate 70/30 in favor of Atheists.

The general estimate of the world's populations gives atheists/agnostics around 16%. It's likely to be higher on here, since atheism tends to be higher among those better off, and the simple fact that presumably everyone on here owns a computer or at the least has access to one, that puts Y!A answerers in the top 10% of the world's wealthiest people.

Given all that, along with my own observations...I'd say 20-25% atheists.

May seem like a lowball estimate, but then look at who gets the attention. That alsways makes things seem blown out of proportion.

It is probably 80-20 in favor of the Believers but you have the Atheist and Evolutionist that are more in-your-face than anyone else.
Good Christian people sit back and shake their heads while many (but not all) Atheists spew hateful and slanderous remarks at Christians. Some just give up, others wait for the right question or person to step in and try to help.

The number of true "atheists" in our country is really quite small. Of course, they are very loud.
The percentage on Yahoo, however is quite large.
Evidently, they've all become independently wealthy, and have nothing better to do with their time than come on a religion forum, and scream about how they don't believe in religion.

I would say 5 out of every 100 are believers. In real life it is probably a bit less as people without internet access only have tv and books to go on.

I'd guess at 60% religious, 30% atheist, 10% agnostic. Fewer religious people on Sundays and in the middle of the night. But that's just a guess.

I would say the ratio is 1:5 - more atheists than Christians here. Sometimes it boggles my mind.

Believer in what, exactly?

I'm a 'believer'. I worship Odinn, Frigga, Vali, Vidar, Freya, etc.... Some people would say this makes me a 'non believer' as I do not worship/believe the same things they do.

I also believe in the Norn, Landvaettir, Disir, Tomte....

Now who's a 'believer' again?
