how can i lose the weight? i'm about 44 pounds overweight which definitely isn't healthy. please help?!

i can't join any workout/weight watching programs... i'm pretty sure we don't have enough money... and joey k.. ur stupid. go play in traffic.

yes you are a little overweight, don't worry about it... first make up your mind that you will do your best to lose some weight... cut out all the snack food, cookies, candy, soft drinks, ice cream, and any thing with sugar in it... start eating vegies,, fresh fruit,, plenty of water, and plenty of juice, the idea is to shrink your stomach, by doing these things,,, eat all you want to eat,, but do it 5 or 6 times a day,, smaller portions, but healty, i know you can do it... but remember, to enjoy yourself, some people have a harder time than others to lose weight.
start walking , jogging some,, but do not push yourself... remember above all..... have fun.

I would highly suggest that you get one of your parents involved and join Weight Watchers. They have an online program that is great and can be done from home. The live meetings are also good, but they tend to have older people there that you may not relate to, although, some places have meetings just for kids and teens.

Weight Watchers will help you lose the pounds sensibly, while teaching you good eating and exercise habits that will last a lifetime. They offer tons of recipes and exercise ideas and lots of moral support. You'll be glad that you did it.

I'm trying to lose weight too! Good luck...you can do it!

you need to eat three meals a day but stay away from fatty, fried foods, junk food and sweets. eat more vegetables and drink alot of water. also exercise is good. if your 12 then you should be walking alot or riding a bike. but you need to make sure you have all the necessary foods to keep you healthy. dont starve yourself because you will end up gaining the weight back. go slow and change your diet and the weight will fall off. give yourself at least a year to shed 44 pounds.

The best thing to do is not to keep gaining. You're at the lower end of being overweight. A good thing to do is monitor your food intake. Make a journal of everything you eat. Ask your parents if you can join Weight Watchers. It will really help you measure how much food you're eating.

Well I do admitt that being 5'5 and weighing in at 166 IS overweight... BUT at least you want to do something about it so good for you!!

Tricky part is you are ONLY 12.. you can't really diet & excersise with out it harming your growing body. Soooooo here's my suggestion:

I would watch what I ate... cut out junk food, soda's eat more veggies, fruits.. and instead of staying inside ont he computer or TV which is very overused with kids now a days go outside and play... its winter so ice skate or snow board or ski.. or even go for a nice brisk walk!

Jenny Craig, or weightwatchers. Or just stop eating sweeets and stick with veggies and meat. Also stay away from soda, drink water and go for walks or even run every other day. Good luck.

start doing something !!!
walk
run
get to a gym and do a eliptical machine. (boring)

get some kick a~~ tunes on your mp3 player and listen to the tunes while exercising.
But find something FUN to do that's active.
