1 Corinthians 8:5-6 For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.

Reading some of these answers it amazes me that so many Christians think being a Christian is about rules and being good.
An atheist here said, he is perhaps an Satanist, and worship by being healthy and living life to its fullest.
How is the Christian who thinks being a Christian is about what we do, any different?
True worship of God can be found in Matt chapter 25, and being a Christian is not about doing.
If you think you are a good person, you may not be a Christian at all. And if you think being good gets you to heaven, you have missed the boat all together.

Do I believe there are forces at work in the universe that human beings do not yet understand? Yes. We have made many very basic discoveries in physics, astronomy, biology, etc. in recent decades and we still have some major questions about space and time and matter and energy to be answered.
Do I believe that those forces have a personality? No. Do I believe those forces are watching me and judging me? No. Do I believe those forces are listening to me and might respond to me under certain conditions? No. Do I believe those forces are keeping score and will reward me or punish me based on my score at the time of my death? No.
Do I believe we should do basic research to understand these forces? Yes. Do I believe we lose something as we gain an understanding of these forces and use that knowledge to replace the mythology developed in the past? No. Do I believe the population at large has the intelligence and intellectual savvy to understand and assimilate what we know now and what we will learn in the future? Unfortunately no. Do I believe religion is a barrier that mankind needs to overcome in order to seek the truth? Yes.

Sure dear I not just only believe that there is a God the good Lord set me free from a 2 1/2 pack a day cigarettes habit.
Last year He held all the hurricane back from entering the Gulf and East coast.
I have seen first hand the power of God so yes I truly believe that there is A God whom we can pray to and he will answer our prayers if we have faith.

I read the above relply from Ghost Wolf and decided to answer also.
I am a real Satanist. I honestly, truly believe that all deists (persons who worship any god) are delusional. (Not stupid, mind you, but delusional.) I believe this delusion is harmful to the state of mankind- creating hartred and mistrust, and false hope, distracting man from the real secular world in which we live.
I worship no god but myself. I am my brother's brother, but not his keeper; I wish to bring him enlightenment, but not peace. I live in a hostile world, and I myself am hostile. I do not "turn the other cheek" except when doing so is to my benefit.
I am an animal, a man, and a god. The rituals that bring me comfort are food and drink, physical, sexual, and mental activity- and the traditions we devise to spiritualize them. I celebrate Halloween in full witch's fashion with candy and costume and cakes and ale; Walpurgisnacht sybolically with a toast and a candle; and my birthday with excess of every kind.
I witness to others as well (as I am doing here), but in addition to simple witnessing, I also make other efforts to shatter the delusions of those around me. These efforts range from what you might call "corruption" to simple pranks. I also read the bible, among other holy works and occult tomes- and treatises on psychology, sociology, anthropology, and metaphysics. I also try to live up to the examples set in the past, and I strive to be "Satanic" in all things.
I appreciate the intellectual tone of your question. Thank you and good day.

I'm an atheist, but my closest religion would be a Satanist. I worship my god by staying healthy and living life to the fullest, with thought of the future that is...
"I am my own god" is the saying that lingers around the Satanist religion.
LeVey is awesome!

I'm a Roman Catholic. I really believe in God coz I know that He is the one that always guides me to all the things that I do. I know that in any decision I make He is always by my side ready to help me if I really need His help. I also believe that all of us whether Buddhist, Catholic, or something else have their own God which they worship so we must respect their God so they will do the same to us. We should also respect their way of worship even though it is really funny. That's all!!!

I believe in God. His name is Jesus. I would even say atheists worship something, maybe sports. Some try to "un-convert Christians". If this is a passion, then maybe it could be a pseudo religion.

The one true God has no name. He sends prophets(including Jesus Christ) around the world to proclaim his truth. You do not need to read, hear, sing or witness God. You only need to FEEL him. A man who reads the Bible is like any other man who reads a book. A man who hears what a Priest says is like any other man who hears his neighbors brag about his house. A man who sings praises to God is like any other vocalist who sings "Goodbye My Lover". A man who sees/witnesses a person doing "miracles" or being healed by "miracles is like any other man who sees his children going to school. These way of finding God by mere senses is not wrong but it is not enough. The only way to find God and the truth is to FEEL him being God.

I am a Christian I believe in God,Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
I don't agree when you say atheists don't have a religion/or a god, they belive in themselves or money or material things...or the THEORY or evolution...their religion is religiously saying no to the Truth of God.
