I think our troops in Basra are making some progress in getting the Iraqis ready to take over their own policing so hopefully British troops will be able to return to barracks in the not too distant future and then, at some point, come home. Roll on that day I say.

I think that all Western troops should pull out of Iraq and be replaced by Middle Eastern troops.

No. The troops are doing what troops are supposed to be doing. Who else will resist the factions who would like to return Iraq to the evil recent past that was under Saddam.

If we are not there, we will be in Iran or somewhere else, we rule this world and we were set off on a rampage because of the destruction on 9-11. We already won the war in Iraq, but not the war on terror, that will never end. We will stand to fight forever for that, and so be it and get used to it. IF anything else happens to our buildings or people by terrorist again, watch out, we will be much less political in our bomb placement next time and we will just blow up an entire country!!

I am afraid that a rod for your countrys back has been made by your president and our thoughtful prime minister. Troops should never have gone in any way and I think its time to pull the guys and gals out now before more bloodshed occurs.

We need to begin a phased withdrawal not sending 20 plus thousand more troops. This will not solve the problem. When you add more gasoline to an already raging fire does that extinguish it???

We should keep some troops over there but not that many. There government/military is growing and I think they can handle some of the problems of there own country.

Has Bush exceeded the Body Count of Vietnam yet?
I think we should give him the chance to make a REAL mark on history.
Let's give the boy a chance - he's going to come up with a really, really good idea any day now ...

Yes we should just pull out. We have given them people long enough to act right. the excuse that terrorism is all they have ever known is getting old. you can't say they do not know the difference between what's wrong or what's right. if I were happening over hear no one would just stand by and watch someone commit a terrorist act with out identifying them. it is just their way of displaying more discontent for the lives lost for their freedom. What gratitude.the people themselves just don't care enough to stand up for them selves to make a real difference. so why should we. FOR OIL???? Yeah right.
