When I bend my knees they crunch, I know this can't be good. Anyone have any ideas?? I was thinking of getting some osteo bi-flex. I am over weight but am working on it, I have lost almost 25lbs as of now and want to lose more but am afraid of doing to high of impact aerobics because of the crunching.

I have the same thing. The doctor had me get X-rays and it is arthritis. You may want to check with your doctor. I take medication for it now and he gave many special exercises to do so that I would not cause damage.

I have the same knee crunching, and have had for some time. I'm 45 and a little overweight myself. I think that maybe the excess weight does aggravate such a thing, as I have a couple of workmates in their 20's who's knees also crunch when squatting and so forth, and are also overweight. So it must be related. I guess we all have to shed a bit.
